White Angora Goats at MacGregor Hollow Farm

White Angora Goats

We have a few AAGBA registered white angora goats in our flock. It is nice to use their genetics to improve the color angoras mohair and coverage. Dyeing with white mohair makes colors is fun too. Our white angoras tend to be a bit more docile than the colored. We find that they like more attention and stand better for shearing and hoof trimming.

Tintagel Farm 14700 Tanner

Tanner is a new addition to our herd from Tintagel Farm. He is quite special in that he is from 2 AAGBA parents and was born a light red and white pinto. He has since faded to white. We will be using him to see if we can get color while adding in the softness and beautiful coverage that he has.

Moonshine with Maisie and Finley

Nowhere Branch Moonshine

Moon has crossed the rainbow bridge. She was a very special goat and hard to let go. Moonshine was our herd queen for many years and did a wonderful job gently making sure everything ran correctly. Even when she relinquished the official herd queen title, she still kept tabs on everything and checked on any babies in distress. Her kids have been outstanding and have won many titles over the years. Moon was a wonderful doe and will be greatly missed, but her genetics continue in our herd.

2007: Moonshines daughter, Maisie won Grand Champion White Doe at Michigan Fiber Festival and 1st place yearling doe.
2008: MFF Moonshine’s buckling won Reserve Champion White Buck and first place kid buck
2009: MFF Moonshine’s 2009 buckling won Grand Champion White Buck and first place kid buck.
2009: Moonshines daughter, Maisie won Grand Champion White Doe again at MFF and 1st place aged doe!
2012: MFF Moonshine’s 2012 buckling won 1st place buck kid
